Using the inbox and the CRM status chip
Read and reply to email, see at a glance whether a sender is in your CRM, and add new contacts in seconds.
The Inbox shows email from your connected mailbox. Each conversation tells you whether the sender is already in your CRM, so new buyers don't slip past.
The CRM status chip
Open an email and look at the chip next to the sender:
Chip | Meaning | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
Green (the contact's name) | A known contact | Click to see their company, trade history and last order. |
Amber, "Not in CRM" | A new sender | Click to link them to an existing contact, or create a new contact in a few seconds. |
Grey, "Ignored" | A sender you chose to keep out of the CRM | Click to change your mind. |
In the message list, new senders are labelled NEW CONTACT so you can spot potential buyers quickly.
Replying
Type in the reply box at the bottom of the conversation, or start from one of the suggested replies, then send. The reply goes from your connected mailbox, so the buyer sees it come from you.
Tidying up
From a conversation you can Mark as read, Mark as unread, Archive in Gmail, or Move to Gmail Trash. These do the same thing in your mailbox. Anything moved to Trash can still be recovered from Gmail Trash.
